Everyone loves a NEW beginning and I am no different ! That's probably one of the things I am MOST excited about in Mary Kay! We have "two" New Year Celebrations ! July 1st and January 1st !
Each year I introduce a new theme to our National Area which is rooted in scripture ! This year I chose the theme, GREAT EXPECTATIONS because that's what the Lord has repeatedly whispered to me throughout the year ! Kathy - have GREAT EXPECTATIONS ! It reminded me that our dear Mary Kay used to say: "You usually get EXACTLY what you expect; so EXPECT great things!"
Well, my FANTASTIC "Inner Circle" National Area Family, I am totally expecting to see SO many of your successes and victories this Seminar Year ! I will be traveling to consultant CAR PARTIES once again this year to help you, your team and Unit CELEBRATE in Grand Style with a GUEST EVENT! Imagine "your city" when you earn the use of your Mary Kay Career Car ! I will also be traveling to CELEBRATE with every PINK CADILLAC
achieved in our National Area Family ! YOU are the "best-trained" women in all of Mary Kay land ! DECIDE you will bring me to your city !
Back in January, our Pastor did a sermon on "Slaying the Giants in your Life!" He asked us to identify what our giants were and I had no problem listing "my giants!" He proceeded to share with us what the Bible had to say about the topic of FEAR and how we would have to conquer this giant in order to slay "other giants!" We were each given a 3 x 5 index card and asked to write down this scripture:
2 Timothy 1:7
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear or timidity; but of power, love and self-discipline."
That index card found a home on my bathroom mirror where I studied it, repeated it and finally committed it to memory for the first 6 months of the year ! When it came time for the selection process of our National Area theme verse; I realized the Lord gave that scripture to me way back in January ! EVERYONE of us has to face our fears, learn to work through our fears before we can ever slay our giants ! What the scripture actually tells us is that FEAR is not of God ! He did NOT give us that spirit of FEAR; but of POWER, LOVE and SELF-DISCIPLINE !
My friends - I would encourage you to put your name into that scripture and say it out loud several times a day and own it ! It is from God !!!!
"For God has not given ____________(say your name) a spirit of fear or being timid; BUT of POWER, LOVE and SELF-DISCIPLINE!"
"For God has not given KATHY HELOU a spirit of fear or being timid; but of POWER, LOVE and SELF-DISCIPLINE."
I just cannot wait to SEE how HE shows up in all of your decisions, actions, thoughts, words and deeds when you begin to LIVE OUT this principle in your life !
